Ten thousand reasons to travel
Ten thousand reasons to travel
Reclaimed wood finds new life as an homage to all the places that urge us to leave our homes. Ten thousand nails are meticulously drilled and hammered to create a powerful reminder of our adventures and inspiration for future trips.
These creations are brought to life by artisan Lauren Reschke. Over the years Lauren had always dreamt of having a massive wall map to pinpoint the places that had stamped her passport, but found the usual corkboard map flimsy and (pardon the pun) tacky. The original design began as wood and nails and quickly grew to painted variations and topographical 3D renditions. Using reclaimed wood adds an element of nostalgia and sustainability to the projects.
Maps are available for pre-order and can be customized for desired stains, colours and sizes.
