gratitude / growth moment 001

The “60-40 rule” is a concept that aims to lend some perspective to the importance of balancing that hunger for continual development as a person, professional and partner while also emphasizing gratitude as a non-negotiable practise. I’m adding the growth/gratitude moment as a quick way to share with you how my last week has gone.

growth— I had a unique opportunity come to fruition at work and it required a bit more contractual/legal review in order to progress the pursuit which gave me a front seat to new perspectives on risk management. I thrive on being put in new rooms and having to level up, so I would definitely categorize this week as a success. Now the work begins!

gratitude— my grounding moment has been tending to my garden every morning. Amongst the COVID craziness I decided I needed to see something green ASAP so I planted hundreds of seedlings in March. And you all know I am not a green thumb so not only was it therapeutic but I learned a lot from googling “why are all my allysum whithering”, lol. I’m grateful for the headspace that I earned from the ten minutes each morning checking in on the progress, even though my success rate was about 25% (poor babies). I can’t wait to see my moon flowers bloom each evening when the sun sets and hopefully my pink pampas make it through the awful downpour we’re having right now.
